Killer Breadcrumb Suspected in Rodent Crime Scene
Found near a downtown MUNI bus stop just one week after the gopher siting, this rat appeared virtually unharmed–except for its apparent “dead” status. The tip of its tail was nipped off, but no bite or claw marks were found on its body, nor were there any signs of bullet or stab wounds. A toxicology report has been filed in order to determine if the nearby breadcrumb had been poisoned. Although foul play is suspected, authorities have not ruled out natural causes.
